research and development
During my tenure with Vergola Worldwide, i lead multiple research and development projects to explore new products, iterations on the existing product line and was a major contributor to and R&D project investigating new machinery design options to enhance Vergola’s production capacity.
My role saw me collaborate with the State Manager, Managing Director, specialist Engineering Firms and third party stakeholders to coordinate resources for the research and development, construction and trialing of new machinery.
During this time i was a point of liaison between internal management and external parties relaying important details for the continued development of the research project. I was responsible for working with management and engineering teams to establish parameters for the machines new design features and establishing workable solutions for problems arising in the new design. Upon conclusion of the research and development and construction sections of the project, my responsibilities saw me lead an assessment of the prototype machines capacity and accuracy of production working with multiple parties to develop reports for the MD and engineering teams to ensure that the prototype met the parameters outlined as being of critical importance.
The success of the research and development project lead to contracts to produce new production machinery with a higher efficiency and greater output allowing Vergola to continue to explore market development in new and emerging markets for its product. The first machine prototype went on to double production capacity, compared with its predecessor, and served as a template for future models to be created for Vergola’s other production facilities throughout the world.
