MARKETING

My studies in Digital Marketing have developed my understanding of the role that digital media plays in the modern integrated marketing mix and the necessary cohesion of marketing materials, both digital and traditional. With the omnipresence of digital media in the consumer environment, cohesive digital marketing approaches that build upon branding and positioning while allowing business to reach out to consumers in a contextually relevant way with media that is suited to the consumers is essential to the continued success of firms in this new digital era.

  • Adept at producing a comprehensive siuational analysis assessing macro, meso and micro environments and developing a strategic response.
  • Proficient in the use of Customer Journey Mapping and personification of market segments to guide digital marketing content production and placement.
  • Highly experienced in working with demographic, geographic, psychographic and behavioural market segmentation bases to reveal high-value market segments and focus marketing resources.
  • Practiced in the use of marketing technology to aid in scheduling, implementation, and budgeting of marketing campaigns.

BUSINESS LAW

During my studies of Business Law, I had the opportunity to work with practicing barristers and solicitors to work with business law cases in a variety of settings. Through application of the legal framework, citing Acts and relevant common law, i had the opportunity to explore civil and criminal legal issues present in the Australian business environment.

  • Able to apply legal framework to establish the legality of differing forms of business.

  • Well versed in relevant Acts, case law and standards applicable to the formation of contracts in a business setting.

ACCOUNTING

My academic work with accounting has provided me with a developed understanding of the role of financial reporting in business and the ability to draw insights into the performance and health of a business based on key financial statements. During my studies in the field of accounting i built skills in accounting reporting requirements and the interpretation of financial statements from a managerial and statement user perspective.

  • Application of financial ratios to determine liquidity, profitability and solvency.
  • Practiced in the production and interpretation of the 4 key account statements : Statement of Changes in Equity, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows & Income Statements.
  • Well versed in the principals of both accrual and cash based accounting methods.
  • Adept understanding of the process of journalising transactions, producing ledgers & making balance day adjustments.
  • Able to identify accounting as an information process for business decision making and describe the workings of the accounting cycle
  • Able to work with the accounting equation to come to a determination of financial position

BUSINESS DATA ANALYSIS

Through my studies in the subject of data analysis in a business setting i built a foundation of skills in techniques used to collect, analyse and report complex sets of information to guide managerial decision making processes and business strategy.

  • Collecting data using various surveying and sampling techniques.
  • Using bivariate data sets to produce statistical models such as correlation and regression analysis.
  • Use of graphical and numerical descriptive methods to provide data based insight on business information.
  • Discrete and continuous probability distribution to create accurate probability estimates
  • Use of sample statistics to draw inferences about population parameters.
  • Conducting hypothesis testing with sample statistics and population parameters to confirm or reject a given hypothesis to varying  levels of certainty. 
  • Use of Laspeyres and Paasche indexs to calculate CPI.
  • Creating estimates population parameters from sample statistics using confidence interval estimators.

MANAGEMENT

My work with management in an academic setting has provided me with skills in the four core functions of management within high growth firms and industries. The key areas of focus for my studies in this field were Strategic Managment and Management by Objectives theories with application to multinational corporation.
